WEB DESIGN: Veggiecology website
WHAT? Masters degree course work: design and build a website to communicate a scientific concept.
I chose to create a website aimed at university students that are interested in eating sustainably. The website explains the science behind what it means and how it is possible to have a sustainable diet according to season, ecological footprint and origin.
DESIGN BRIEF: Build an approachable website communicating the science behind sustainable food production and diets. Information should be enjoyable and easily-understandable through graphic elements and layout.
Look & Feel: I used organic, earth tones and natural hand-drawn elements to communicate appeal to the target audience and help communicate 'sustainable eating' in an approachable and enjoyable way.
Wire-frames were used to structure the design process ensuring user experience was maximised while communicating each scientific concept. Afterwards I build the website through both back and front end design and development.
