NATASCHA MEHRABI DESIGNS

WHAT? In 2016 I started my own sustainable accessories line of silk scarves. The designs are inspired by natural forms and each is hand-drawn and digitally printed using eco-friendly dyes. As sole proprietor I have been responsible for everything from marketing, to digital and web design, content creation and business planning.

My role: As well as designing the scarves I directed the campaign photoshoots, designed the lookbook, built the website, and managed social media and branding. Below is a selection of some images depicting examples of my work:

Personas/target audience: Products are aimed for higher end/luxury market millennials with a passion for style without compromising the environment. Descriptors; ambitious, travellers, community, engaged, socially conscious, influencers, style-driven with global outlook.

Look & Feel: Simple, clean, luxury, few words, images clearly depict products. Bold titles with main text in grey. Product images should reflect elements of nature, the environment and aim to inspire users to explore and travel. Sustainable ethos should be underlying message throughout site.

User experience: Focus on simplicity, approachability and using visual imagery to guide user pathways. Navigation should be intuitive with a focus on multiple pathways to buying the products. Include several methods for purchasing, making the process easy and efficient for the user.

Design process: Using UXPin to create wire frames and map storyboards I focussed on creating a fully responsive design ensuring:

- content is shareable via social media

- mobile friendly

- works across browsers

- products are easy to purchase on different devices.

- navigation is simple and clear across devices/browsers.
